63th session of Committee on the Rights of the Child

The Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC) is taking  its 63th session in Geneva from 27 May to 14 June 2013.

 

The following countries will be examined:

  • Armenia
  • Guniea-Bissau
  • Israel
  • Rwanda
  • Slovenia
  • Uzbekistan

Optional protocol to the convention on the rights of child on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography (OPSC):

  • Armenia
  • Rwanda
  • Uzbekistan

Under the optional protocol on the involvement of children in armed conflict (OPAC):

  • Armenia
  • Rwanda
  • Uzbekistan

The Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC) monitors the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child as well as two optional protocols to the Convention, on the involvement of children in armed conflict and on sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography. The Convention was adopted and opened for signature, ratification and accession by General Assembly Resolution 44/25 on 20 November 1989. The optional protocols were adopted and opened for signature, ratification and accession by General Assembly Resolution 54/263 on 25 May 2000. For more information, see OHCHR.
